Brigadier Ravi Herath, the island nation’s army spokesman, said there was no evidence the LTTI chief was alive. He said they have Prabhakaran’s DNA report after his death. Whereas, Prabhakaran’s death has been confirmed, said the spokesperson of the Sri Lanka Army. The Army Brigadier expressed his surprise on the basis of the claim that Prabhakaran is alive.
The spokesperson of the army also opened up about whether any action will be taken against P Nedumran for misleading claims. He said that there is no plan to take disciplinary action now. Rajiv Gandhi (Rajiv Gandhi) The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed concern over the claim that the mastermind behind the assassination is alive. This is not the first time that Prabhakaran has been claimed to be alive. Several years ago the LTTI chief claimed to be alive of Sri Lanka A Tamil nationalist leader. Sri Lanka North Provincial Council member M Sivajilingam claimed on a local radio that reports of Prabhakaran’s death were baseless. He claimed to have escaped during the LTTI main conflict. The Sri Lankan government is struggling to recover from the economic crisis. Diplomatic circles feel that the Prabhakaran issue has created new pressure on the government at such a time.
