The Perth lawyer Saturday requested the former education minister of the state to be admitted to the SSKM hospital in the Bank shall court on Saturday due to physical ailments. The ED has registered a case under the Anti-Money Laundering Act against Perth in the School Service Commission (SSC) corruption case. When he was produced in the Bankshal court on Saturday, the ED informed that Tk 21 crore has been recovered from Arpita Mukherjee, a ‘close aide’ of the former education minister of the state. A few photocopies of properties belonging to Arpita Yoga have been found near Perth. The call records of the two people have also come into hand. Parth did not give information regarding the transaction even during interrogation. Also, the ED lawyer said, ‘Parth is not innocent.’
Palta Perth’s lawyers claim that nothing has been found from the former education minister of the state. A bail application was also made citing Parth’s physical condition. The lawyers also requested that Parth be admitted to the hospital for his physical condition. However, that request was not accepted. Parth has been sent to ED custody for two days. According to sources, the case will be heard in court, especially on Monday.
