Earlier it used to take about 1 day, 24 hours to travel from Delhi to Mumbai by road. When the new road opens, it will come down in 12 hours! That means, this route will take 10-12 hours less time. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will pass through six states. It will touch Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra respectively. As a result, this new expressway will also connect some important cities. Like- Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara, Surat. Apart from this, it will make it easier than ever to reach some important airports. 13 ports will be added. It will also make it easier to reach the upcoming green field airports like Jewar Airport or Navi Mumbai Airport.
The road has been constructed in such a way as to have as little impact as possible on the Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary. Not only this, this road is the first in India and Asia to have overpasses and underpasses built for the movement of wildlife.
This expressway will greatly boost the economy of this region of India. It is expected that the local economy of the area that will be touched by this route will be enriched in various ways.
