G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: 40 people were martyred on this day. If February 14 is not Love Day, Martyr’s Day? On this day in 2019, India’s black day- Pulwama attack took place. It has been 4 years since that incident. On this day, a suicide bomb attack took place on a vehicle of the Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF. Due to which 40 people died. Burned bodies, wrecked trucks, blood, car parts, body parts were scattered after the incident. Hard pictures of atrocities that cannot be looked back on. Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility by releasing a video soon after the incident. It was learned that a 22-year-old suicide bomber, named Adil Ahmed Dar, drove the explosive-laden vehicle into Pulwama district. He was a resident of Kashmir. He was missing since 2018.

The day after the incident on February 19, India blamed Pakistan for the attack. However, Pakistan denied all those allegations. But whatever Pakistan said, after many meetings and discussions, India decided to withdraw the ‘Most Favored Nation’ (MFN) status from Pakistan.
The whole of India was shocked by this terrible incident that day and mourned the martyr’s death. However, India killed two militants in an encounter within two days. and imposed restrictions on Jammu and Kashmir.

However, Pulwama was avenged by India a few days later. 26 February. The Indian Air Force struck a militant camp in Pakistan’s Balakot. Many militants were killed in this attack by India. Pakistan also did not sit quietly. They also counterattacked. As a result, MiG-21 fighter jet pilot Abhinandan fell from the plane during the current encounter and was captured by Pakistan. Later, however, Pakistan handed him over to India.
Today, this martyr will be remembered in various places across the country, and is being done. Mourning is being done in many places, respect is being paid. It is done every year. Pusparghya is given in memory of those brave soldiers. The day has a different glory, a different significance in the history of India.
