Yogi Adityanath The Kerala Story: Adityanath’s Big Announcement, Tax Free in Uttar Pradesh ‘The Kerala Story’

G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced that the film ‘The Kerala Story’ will be tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath’s announcement came a day after the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government banned the film. The story of this movie revolves around a group of women from Kerala who are forced to convert and join the terrorist group Islamic State.

Yogi Adityanath said in a tweet in Hindi, ‘The Kerala Story will be tax free in Uttar Pradesh.’

After Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh is now the second Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state where ‘The Kerala Story’ has been declared tax-free.

Earlier on Saturday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that the film would be tax-free in the state. He made the announcement a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi credited the movie for bringing to light the terror conspiracy. It was also used by Modi to attack the Congress at a rally in Karnataka.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, ‘We have already made a law against conversion in Madhya Pradesh. As this film creates awareness, everyone should watch this film. Parents, sons and daughters should watch it. So Madhya Pradesh government is giving tax free status to the movie ‘The Kerala Story’.

‘The Kerala Story’, starring Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani in lead roles. The movie is directed by Sudipta Sen and released across the country on May 5.

On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee’s position is strict to stop the propaganda. The Kerala Story (The Kerala Story) is on the way to closure in the state. The Chief Minister ordered the banning of The Kerala Story in West Bengal after complaints were filed that the film could spread violence in the state. Mamata Banerjee gave strict instructions to the state government. He said, ‘Movies are being made with distorted information. A movie is made about a community. Wanting to create Bengal files in Bengal too.’
