Narayan Murthy started Infosys in 1981, he was completely involved in his work from the beginning. As a result, Narayan depended on Sudha to run the household. Sudha Murthy says today that when they started Infosys, they didn’t go on vacation for the next 30 years because the husband was always working. Narayan Murthy used to visit 220 days a year. So Sudha never expected anything from him. At the same time, Sudha said, she brought up the children at home. Narayan had no idea what was going on in the house. When their children go abroad, Narayan realizes how much Sudha’s role is behind it. Later he asked Sudha to move forward in her career path. He even supported him by his wife’s side.
