Oral sex increases the risk of throat cancer
Human papilloma virus is transmitted through sexual intercourse. The risk of oropharyngeal cancer increases with having multiple sexual partners. Having sex with six or more people more than once means that the risk of throat cancer increases eight and a half times.
According to a recent study, the tendency to change sexual partners and the risk of cancer are higher among people who indulge in oral sex. A British study of 1,000 people found that 80 percent of them had undergone tonsillectomy at some point for having oral sex with multiple partners.
What does the survey say?
According to the observation of doctors, in most cases, human papilloma virus is infected, but it also recovers quickly. But, it causes throat cancer in some people. It has been observed that the same number of people regularly engage in blowjobs and oral sex with multiple sexual partners.
Human papilloma virus vaccine is given to young women in several countries to prevent cancer. Specialist doctors are recommending more use of this vaccine in case of mouth and throat cancer. Mouth and throat cancer is thought to be preventable through hard immunity and vaccines.
New fear
However, sexual intercourse with a citizen of a foreign country is creating fear. Vaccinated young women are at increased risk of developing cancer if they have sex with multiple foreign nationals. In countries where men do not have hard immunity or vaccination is low, having oral sex with men in that country is one of the risk factors.
As of 2020, only 53.4 percent of 13- to 15-year-olds in the United States have received the human papillomavirus vaccine. At present, rapid vaccination has been introduced in Britain and Australia to increase the number of throat cancer cases due to oral sex.
In most cases, it is seen that young people prefer oral sex and blow job to avoid intercourse during sex. And so it brings danger in their lives. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, vaccine uptake has decreased worldwide. As a result, the demand for human papilloma virus vaccine also decreased a lot at that time. Because of this, the number of throat cancer patients has increased.
